Loveland Living Planet Aquarium

During the Loveland Living Aquarium visit our 4th grade class learned about animal adaptations, habitats and the four main types of living organisms.  As animals were brought out for viewing, students were asked to observe them as scientists would; looking for specific characteristics to determine which class the animal might belong to.  Additionally, students were taught several simple signs to express themselves so that the noise level could be kept to a minimum, so as not to scare the animals.  As the Loveland Living Aquarium guest speakers left, their parting messages were not to harm animals in the wild and to help the environment by doing the following:  pick up litter, don’t leave water running, and turn lights off when not in a room.
